Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a highly advanced, minimally invasive procedure performed by general surgeons. The surgeon makes small incisions up to 3 to 15 mm and accesses the affected area in the body through tiny, special surgical instruments guided by the camera that project the entire view from inside the body.
Laparoscopic procedures include appendectomy, repair of hernia, removal of gallbladders, colons, and tissue samples for biopsy, and a few bariatric procedures. The main advantages of Laparoscopic procedures are minimal blood loss, less scarring and wounds, and faster recovery.
Surgeries done through minimal access facilitate faster recovery of patients and would be able to resume their regular duties within few hours.
